The Coach House is operated by Antonio and Robert. Both have over 15 years in Management and combined years working in the are of child development through exercise and sport. Both are passionate about coaching and working with children.
Antonio has from a young age had a strong interest in Sport and Youth Development. In 1999 he qualified with a Sports Science & Fitness Diploma. He worked as a PE teacher in a local secondary school and subsequently further expanded into the Leisure Sector by taking up a role in Hotel & Bar Operations and then into Event Management industry; which he remained involved in for 13 years. Parallel with this he re-ignited, 5 years ago, his interest in working in Sport and with Children and in 2010 set-up his own blog focusing on improving participation and development in kids sports, (Ref: thecoachdiary.com).
To date his blog gets over 7,500 hits per day.
In 2011 as The Coach Diary developed Antonio began holding Coaching Workshops for Coaches involved in youth sports. In this time he has managed to bring some of the best known and reputed international youth coaches to Ireland. In securing the latter Antonio has also helped introduce new concepts and create increased awareness of the importance of Sport in Children’s lives. This has led Antonio to working with the various sports organisation and a number of league organisation in Ireland & the UK in bringing about change in Youth Sports/Football in Ireland both on and off the pitch.
In 2014 with the support of all the major Leagues and Clubs Antonio introduced the hugely successful Silent Sideline Campaign geared to letting Children play sport in a fun filled relaxed environment thus allowing them make decisions by themselves. Antonio’s extensive knowledge in child development has led to him being a regular contributor on National and International Radio and now travels the country with his Silent Sideline Workshop. In terms of qualification, Antonio is a qualified Life Coach, holds a Diploma in Sports Management & Development, has completed various level 6 & 7 courses in Management, Child Protection and Coaching Ethics to name a few, he is Garda vetted and an FAI qualified Coach. In addition he recently completed both a Certificate in Life Support (including AED /epi Pen & First Aid techniques) and holds a UEFA B (3rd Highest Level in football coaching) license with the Football Association Of Ireland. Antonio constantly strives to grow and he is currently studying Child Psychology and has already completed a level 6 in Child Development & Psychology.
In his spare time Antonio acts as a Coach with Castleknock Celtic FC a local soccer club. Castleknock Celtic are a Community Club based in Dublin 15 which places emphasis on player participation and development rather than trying to cultivate a “Win only” mentality. Antonio’s role in the Club was recognised when he was asked to join the Clubs Football Committee with a view to educating both Coaches and Parents alike in the importance of the structured development of Children as both athletes and young children.
Antonio will have responsibility for the implementation of the curriculum at The Coach House and is the Deputy Liaison Person with regards to all Child Welfare matters.

Manchester City were so impressed with Antonio’s methods on coaching they did a documentary on him in 2018.
Robert is a Qualified FAI Coach. Robert comes from a Sales background with over 20 years experience in Sales as representative, Manager and Principal. Robert has been involved in Sport from a young age and began working with and developing children in football over 8 years ago. He currently holds a Youth Certificate in football and has just recently completed the Children First Child Welfare and First Aid Course. In his role as a Coach also with Castleknock Celtic, Robert, along with Antonio has overseen the development of an age group that is recognised as possibly the most successful group of players in their age group in Castleknock’s history. Robert has put this down to the creation of a positive environment where players are encouraged to express themselves without fear. There is a strong emphasis on understanding the importance of Respect, Hard Work, Trust and the importance of Team Cohesion. In turn the confidence of both the individual and collective have grown creating a strong team unit both on and off the pitch.
As a Coach Robert will also have responsibility for Coaching, Administration & Operations and his extensive Management experience will ensure that The Coach House will be a well-organised and well run Centre.
